Boat explosion at Mienke Marina injures one

One person is injured after an explosion at the Mienke Marina.

According to Jerusalem Twp. Fire, a man and a woman were on the boat while refueling. Only one of them sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

Fire crews arrived to put out the flames. The spill team then went to work to contain the fuel.

A mechanical failure is the suspected cause of the incident, though it remains under investigation.
