TOLEDO (WTVG) - A Boil Water Advisory is in effect for a portion of Klondike Street in Toledo on Tuesday.
That advisory affects residents on Klondike Street from Holbrook to Hawley.
The City of Toledo has placed that advisory as a precaution. Toledo Water Distribution does not currently have any evidence that the water is unsafe but there is a possibility due to a repair or disruption to the water service. They will be testing the water to ensure its safety before lifting the boil advisory.
While the advisory is in effect, you should be sure to take the following precautions:
Flush all taps used for drinking and cooking for at least three minutes.
Boil water for 3 minutes and cool before using. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making formula, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, and preparing food until the advisory expires.
If your water appears discolored, avoid washing clothes or using the hot water taps until you have run the cold water faucets and the water clears.
The advisory will remain in effect until 5 PM Saturday, August 24th, unless residents are informed otherwise by the city.
