Bowling Green rape suspect pleads guilty

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (WTVG) - The man accused of in the rape case of two teenagers in Bowling Green has pleaded guilty. David Contreras, 28, pleaded guilty Friday morning to two counts of attempted rape and one count of abduction stemming from the 2018 case.

Contreras sparked a nationwide search after he and three others were accused of the rape of two teenagers at the Days Inn on Wooster Street. Contreras was eventually found in Lubbock, Texas and was extradited back to Ohio to face trial. Another suspect in the case, Simon Juan, was arrested earlier. Police are still searching for the remaining two suspects, Juan Adiel and Arnulfo Ramos.

Contreras will be sentenced on February 22.
