WOOD CO, Ohio (WTVG) - Bridge painting will impact traffic along I-280 in Wood County through September.
Starting today, I-280 will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Wheeling Street and the Ohio Turnpike to paint the following bridges: Bahnsen Road, SR 795, Wales Road, SR 51 and Curtice Road.
Drivers will also be greeted with some ramp closures starting today.
The ramp from southbound I-280 to Curtice Road and Woodville Road (Exits 6A and 6B) will be closed through Wednesday for bridge containment installation. You can get around this one by taking the Walbridge Road exit.
The ramp from Curtice Road and Woodville Road to southbound I-280 will also be closed through Wednesday. You can get around this one by taking northbound I-280, getting off at Wheeling Street and hopping on southbound I-280.
Starting next Monday, April 22, the ramp from northbound I-280 to Woodville and Curtice Roads will be closed for bridge containment installation through Wednesday, April 24. The detour for this one is the Wheeling Street exit.
The ramp from Woodville and Curtice Roads to northbound I-280 will also be closed through Wednesday, April 24. You can get around this one by taking southbound I-280 to Walbridge Road. You will then be able to hop on northbound I-280.
