TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - A local CEO is selected for a high profile fellowship for small businesses.

Dr. Tracee Perryman is the founder and CEO of Center of Hope Family Services. She'll spend the next four months working to take the non-profit to a higher level.

Center of Hope Family Services is a non-profit dedicated to improving the life of adults, children and families in Lucas county.

The CEO is doing what she loves and was just awarded a prestigious business fellowship from Goldman Sachs, winning $50,000 in training to help grow her non-profit.

"I'm allowed and forwarded the opportunity to work on my business and have that opportunity to converse with peers all over the country. Hopefully I can bring back some of those ideas to our community," said Tracee Perryman.

Center of Hope Family Services offers programs that help children succeed in schools. They work with students at Robinson elementary, Old West End Academy and MLK for boys.

Dr. Perryman says they are also breaking barriers with programs in the juvenile justice system and is committed to helping children and families succeed.
