Carl Banks sentenced to six years in prison

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - The final person involved in the 2017 death of 31-year-old Jerry McNeal has been sentenced to prison.

Carl Banks was sentenced to six years for involuntary manslaughter Thursday in Lucas County Court.

Authorities allege that Banks was the tip-off man that would alert James Moore and Eric Jones Jr. that McNeal was leaving the gambling house on the 1800 block of Bigelow Street.

During the robbery, McNeal was shot and killed. Moore and Jones both pleaded guilty in previous months. Jones was sentenced to 9 years in prison and Moore received an 11 year sentence.
