Cedar Point offering free admission to military, veterans

SANDUSKY (WTVG) -- They're calling it a "Tribute to the Armed Forces."

Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky is opening its gates to members of the military, past and present, this Memorial Day weekend.

Those who have served get into the park free of charge.

Here are the details from Cedar Point:

Cedar Point and Cedar Point Shores salute America’s Armed Forces during this Memorial Day Weekend. In appreciation for their service and bravery, any active, retired, or honorably discharged member of the United States Military will receive one free adult admission ticket May 26 – 29. May purchase up to six (6) additional tickets for immediate family members at $43.00 each at any Cedar Point ticket window. (Please note that Cedar Point Shores is only open to Season Passholders on Friday, May 26.)

Must show a valid military ID at any Cedar Point or Cedar Point Shores admissions window. Valid forms of ID include: active duty ID, retired personnel ID, VA ID or a copy of DD-214 discharge papers and photo ID. Cannot be combined with any other discount offers. Tickets purchased for this event are non-refundable. Free adult tickets are valid for admission on one of the listed dates only. Tickets must be purchased at the park on the day of your visit.
