TOLEDO (WTVG) -- This week, you can be in a world of pure imagination.
"Charlie and The Chocolate Factory: The New Musical" opens Tuesday at The Stranahan.
Charlie is the title character, but those who promote the tour say Willy Wonka steals the show.
"He's got some crazy dancing that he does and just kind of, you know, runs the show as far as how he interacts with the kids and their parents and everything that happens. But there's a lot of whimsy to it," explains Reida York with the American Theatre Guild.
Some of the music comes from the movies. Other songs are brand new.
The show itself draws from the source material of the beloved children's book, complete with Oomap Loompas and a Glass Wonkavator.
