Conservative app aims to help supporters find "Trump friendly" restaurants and business
There are websites and apps that help consumers choose restaurants based on a variety of factors, from price to whether or not it is child friendly, but now a new app wants to let you know whether the place you're about to eat is Trump friendly.
According to a report from CNN, the app 63red Safe is looking to do just that. The app launched earlier this month and the creator says it is for conservatives looking for safe eateries and other businesses where they won't be harassed for being fans of the president.
The app will allow users to label restaurants as "safe" or "unsafe" based on four factors:
- If they serve guests of all political beliefs.
- If they allow customers to carry weapons under concealed carry laws.
- If they avoid talking politics in advertising and social media.
- If they protect customers who are attacked for political reasons.
Since his election in 2016, Trump Administration officials and their supporters have been heckled and confronted by critics while dining out. White House Press Secretary, Sara Sanders, was even asked to leave one Virginia restaurant last year. According to The Daily Beast, that eatery, The Red Hen in Lexington, is listed in the app as "unsafe."
The app is not currently available in the app store, though
says they will be bringing it back soon.
