WATERVILLE, Ohio (WTVG) - Despite some delays, the Waterville bridge project is still expected to be completed by the fall of 2019.
That bridge was already closed for 45 days in the summer of 2018 as contractors work to replace the Waterville Bridge over the Maumee River.
An ODOT spokeswoman tells 13abc that there have been some delays, putting things behind schedule, but the contractors still believe they’ll have the project done in the Fall of 2019.
After the new bridge opens, the old bridge will be demolished. That’s expected to happen in 2020.
