Tears of joy rolled down the face of fallen firefighter Jamie Dickman's father as State Representative Mike Ashford unveiled a memorial.
The memorial pays tribute to Dickman and firefighter Steve Machcinski who were killed in the line of duty.
"We are very honored that you have honored our children Steve and Jamie," said Linda Dickman.
In 2014 firefighters Dickman and Machcinski were killed battling a fire on Magnolia street. The owner of the building Ray Abou-Arab intentionally set the fire. Last year after a mistrial he accepted a plea deal and was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Thursday the rain and cloudy skies could not overshadow the lasting tribute to what is now a fixture in the Glass City.
