TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Michigan State Police still have not released the name of a man killed and dumped in a Lenawee County cornfield. A man who says he's the father says his son James Wappner is from Toledo. Mr. Vinny Riccardi says he was numb after learning his son was killed. He says everyone knows his son as Jim Jim. Michigan State police are working with Toledo police. They are investigating if Wappner was killed in Toledo and then dumped in Michigan. Detectives have not said if the hunting cameras mounted in the area where Wappner was dumped caught anything. Michigan State police also have not released the name of the victim just yet. Mr. Riccardi says he adopted James when he was 15 years old. Michigan State police are still looking for tips to who killed the Toledo man.
