TOLEDO (13abc Action News) - Men were holding up signs outside the family court house in downtown Toledo on Thursday.
Joshua McDowell of the Ohio Family Rights Movement rallied people to protest the inequality the justice system gives to fathers.
The message of the protest was that “not all dads are deadbeats.”
"We're doing a big rally here in Toledo to create awareness of what's going on in our family courts system and juvenile court system. So many fathers want to step up and be a part of a child's life but the courts systems are making it impossible," McDowell said.
McDowell hopes that with rallies like this one a difference can be made for families.
