DTE spokesman Stephen Tait says the plant was restarted last week and synced to the system on Sunday. He says it was a "successful outage" to get the work done.
The Monroe News reports (http://bit.ly/2eBnLOY ) the plant was taken offline Nov. 7 to repair a main unit transformer, which is separate from the reactor. It was the second time in 2016 the plant had been taken offline for scheduled maintenance.
The Detroit-based utility's plant is located along Lake Erie in Monroe County's Frenchtown Township.
