Fire at Upper Sandusky glass recycling facility contained, two firefighters hospitalized
Multiple fire crews spent three hours putting out a fire at Dlubak Glass in Upper Sandusky on Monday.
Firefighters first arrived at 3:30 p.m. A large pile of glass and vinyl waste had caught on fire.
Fire chief Mike MaGinn said, "We had one structure that was on the edge of the fire. That was our main concern. We put a wall in and keep that structure from any damage."
Seven fire departments, with 50 firefighters responded. After three hours fighting the blaze, it was put out. No buildings were damaged.
Two fire fighters were taken to Wyandot Memorial Hospital for heat exhaustion.
The cause of the fire is unknown, but will be investigated.
