Flooding Along Maumee Engulfs Horse Farm

It is the worst flooding in more than 22 years. That's how Larry Hutson, owner of Perrysburg River Hollow Farms Horse Stable describes the flooding and ice that's destroying his stables. Hutson has 30 acres along the Maumee and 27 horses in his stables that workers had to move out of the barn as the water flooded in. Hutson says in 15 minutes there was three feet of water in the barn. Workers and Perrrysburg Township Police helped move all the horses out of the barn and load them into trucks to move them to three other area barns for safe keeping. Meantime, the entire property is engulfed in water and ice and buildings have been swept away. Hutson says everyone is safe but it's going to take months to repair the damage and it's probably not done yet.
