Former nursing home worker sentenced to community control
An employee of a local nursing home was sentenced to two years of community control.
Shawna Isner had entered a guilty plea in December of patient abuse from the gross neglect of a patient between August 7-13, 2017.
According to court documents, Isner will be monitored by the Lucas County Adult Probation Department. She will also serve 100 hours of community service and cannot work in a position that involves care of the public.
She was ordered to pay $10,300 in restitution.
She was indicted by a Lucas County Grand Jury on two counts of patient abuse and one count of involuntary manslaughter.
According to the indictment, Isner's gross patient neglect led to the death of a patient at the Arbors of Oregon only identified as E.W.
