Goodwill of NW Ohio celebrates 85 years of service
Goodwill Industries of Northwest Ohio celebrated 85 years of service Thursday by holding a ribbon-cutting for its new uptown location.
Goodwill moved from its former location on Cherry Street to Madison Avenue.
The $1.8 million building houses administrative offices, as well as its employment training programs.
Goodwill has 13 locations in northwest Ohio and has helped more than 2,000 people last with its training program and placement services.
The Cherry Street building was recently sold to the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) and will be converted into a new downtown bus station.
