TPD unit specifically targeting gun crime suspects

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Gun violence on the streets of Toledo. Toledo police have launched a new unit to try and fight the problem. The gun crime intelligence task force targets suspects who police think are involved in multiple gun crimes.

"We know that there's a small amount of people that are running around. they are our shooters," said Toledo Police Lt. Kevan Toney.

Toledo police have confiscated more than 600 guns off the streets so far this year.
