DELPHOS, Ohio (WTVG) - Van Wert County is under a state of emergency due to flooding from the recent heavy rain.
County EMA director Rick McCoy says there are roads that have been washed out along with unknown damage to bridges and considerable crop loss.
The EMA provided a photo taken in Delphos by drone. It shows the flooding along St. Rt. 697 in the southwest part of the city.
McCoy says as of 10:00am Wednesday, the county has opened St. Rt. 697, St. Rt. 66 and East Lincoln Highway giving access to the west side of the City of Delphos. EMA says the water has receded in that area. State Rt. 116 in the southern part of Van Wert County along with some township roads remained closed Wednesday morning.
