Ice leads to power outages in Michigan and Ohio

MONROE COUNTY, Mich. (WTVG) - This morning 13abc is tracking thousands of customers without power. Early Tuesday morning multiple electric companies reported power outages. Many of those without power are in areas that are dealing with ice.

Consumer's Energy in Michigan is reporting up to 2,000 customers in both Monroe and Lenawee Counties are in the dark. Estimated restoration time varies but some power is expected to be back on around 10:00AM.

Toledo Edison is also reporting outages. In Lucas County, nearly 8,000 people are without power and up to 500 customers in Fulton County are in the dark.
