TOLEDO (WTVG) - September 24th is National Voter Registration Day, a national holiday celebrating one of the central tenants of our democracy: free and open elections.
Lack of registration and a lack of knowledge about how to register keeps millions of Americans from voting every year. With the registration deadline fast approaching for this year's General Elections (plus a Presidential Primary and General Election on the horizon next year), it's a good time to make sure you are registered to vote.
Ohio has a number of resources to help answer all your questions, including the variety of voting options available to you as a registered voter. You're even able to check your voter registration, update your information (if you've moved), and register to vote, all online.
If you'd rather not register online, you can also do so in person at your county board of elections or by mail. The deadline to register for November's election is October 7th.
