Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek thanks fans for support in cancer fight

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Alex Trebek once again took to social media to speak with fans about his battle with pancreatic cancer, this time offering his appreciation.

"Thank you for your continuing messages of encouragement and support," Trebek said. "Particularly the many cards I've received from young people. I'm touched beyond words."

Trebek first announced that he had Stage 4 cancer in March. He spoke in a hopeful tone, both for his treatment, and for future work with the game show he's hosted for more than three decades.

"I'm feeling good, I'm continuing with my therapy. and we, the staff, is already working on our next season, the 36th year of Jeopardy!"

Trebek closed the video by saying, "I look forward to seeing you once again in September with all kinds of good stuff."
