UPDATE: Shooter and juvenile victim in Central Catholic shooting after football game not students there

One person was shot on the property of Central Catholic high school shortly after their home football game against Springfield Friday night.

Toledo Police confirm someone shot a juvenile in the hip after an altercation just moments after the game ended.

Emergency responders took the victim to a local hospital. Authorities tell 13abc that victim has non-life threatening injuries.

The school sent out the following statement shortly after midnight:

"Following the football game, Central Catholic High School had a shooting take place on campus. The two people involved were not CCHS students and we continue to pray for the recovery of one of the individuals involved.":

Toledo Police officers were on campus and took immediate action to secure the scene and begin an investigation.

In a letter sent out to parents: Central Catholic High School leader say they will have staff available from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, August 31st to offer support for students, faculty, and parents. They will be available in rooms 106 and 124.

Tuesday morning there is a meeting scheduled with the entire student body with additional support available at that time.

Changes are also expected when it comes to security. Staff members say an additional email will be sent to students and staff about security updates fr the next home football game.

The incident remains under investigation.
