TPD: Officer unharmed after being shot at, search continues for suspect

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Police are searching for a suspect after a Toledo Police officer was shot at near Woodstock and Victory around 4:30 p.m. Friday.

A public information officer told 13abc the plain clothes officer who was shot at was not hit, and police did not fire at the suspect.

A large police presence descended on the 700 block of Woodstock shortly after the incident. The suspect fled on foot.

An officer on scene described the suspect as a light-skinned black male with dreadlocks, wearing a red hoodie.

Officers warned people to avoid the area as they searched the neighborhood. A nearby fire station was also on lock down as a precaution.
