Local brewers making beer for California fire relief

TOLEDO (WTVG) -- You can help victims of the Camp Fire in California simply by tossing back a cold one.

Sierra Nevada Brewing Company in Chico, CA, has created a special India Pale Ale and shared the recipe with brewers across the country.

The beer is called Resilience Butte County Proud IPA. Proceeds from sales of the ale will benefit the Camp Fire Relief Fund.

So far, more than 1,000 breweries have signed on to create the beer. In the greater Toledo area, that includes:

Inside The Five Brewing
Patron Saints Brewery
Great Black Swamp Brewing Co.
Black Cloister Brewing Company
earnest brew works
Tecumseh Brewing Co.

Sierra Nevada started brewing the IPA on Giving Tuesday and expects many breweries will have it available to tap before the end of the year.
