TOLEDO (WTVG) - This story is proof of the incredible generosity in this community. A Toledo woman who is battling breast cancer got an amazing gift Thursday. Seagate Roofing installed a free roof.

Tina Mitchell was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer in March. She has already gone through eight rounds of chemotherapy. She is scheduled to have surgery in October followed by radiation.

The donated roof came about when Tina's sister Betty Greer ran into her high school classmate Karen Jacobiak. They were planning their high school reunion and Betty shared her sister's story with Karen.

Karen is the Operations Manager at Seagate Roofing. Once she shared the story with her boss, the wheels were in motion.

Crew made a lot of progress on the roof today. The goal is to finish it on Friday, weather permitting.

A GoFundMe account has also been set up to help Tina with medical and living expenses. We've posted a link.
