TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - "From a journal to a journey" is the tag line for Vanessa Leonard's Toledo-made film "A Story Worth Living."
The director, writer, and star of the film wrote the script with a special message in mind.
The movie centers around a character who goes through stages of mental illness and recovery. The soundtrack was released on September 10th, Worldwide Suicide Prevention Day.
"It hits home for me because I can see how it's affected my own family and also close friends of mine," says Leonard.
The film means to inspire audiences to bring out the best in others while making the most of their own lives.
The trailer for the film will be released on October 10th at noon for World Mental Health Day.
Leonard has entered the film into national and global festivals. The movie will premiere in Toledo in November 2020.
