Store fronts inside and outside of Franklin Park Mall are looking a little different these days.

According to the shopping center, three stores will have closed by the end of this quarter including Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn and the very popular Disney Store.

"I grew up with this store. I used to go there as a child myself," Dustin Perkins, of Michigan said.

He's a father of six and says he's more than disappointed over news of its closure. He says, not only is it nostalgic for him, but it's always an exciting experience for his kids.

"My children look forward to going to this store," he said. "For a lot of people in the area, this is as close as they can come to Disney."

Hoping to change some minds, he's started a petition urging Disney to stay, if not at Franklin Park, then at least in the Toledo area. So far, more than 100 people have joined the effort and signed.

"This mall means a lot to this community, but the Disney Store in particular, is a significant hit," he added.

But as the old saying goes, "when one door closes, another opens." That's exactly what's happening. For the last couple of years, mall management says they've welcomed more than a dozen new retailers and restaurants.

"I'm really excited to see all the restaurants that are coming in now," Autumn Rainwater of Toledo said. "BJ's, I grew up and Florida and we have those down there."

There's even more on tap to set up shop heading into 2020.

As for the closures, some would argue that's just how business works sometimes, but it doesn't take away the sting of losing what some consider to be a family favorite.

"They have contributed so much and we would hope that they would continue to contribute by staying in Toledo," Perkins said.

The mall confirmed the changes Tuesday, after announcing they would be adding five new tenants to their facility.

Mall officials directed any additional inquiries to the corporate offices of Pottery Barn and Disney store.

The new additions:

Toy Land - Summer

DRY GOODS - Fall

Jasmine Intimates - June 1

Hi Level Fashion - June 1

Sweet and Savory Crepes - June 1
