Local cat adoption program in need of food donations

TOLEDO (WTVG) - This story is a perfect example of the incredible generosity in this community.

Humane Ohio has helped find homes for hundreds of stray and unwanted cats and kittens, but the rescue recently found itself in desperate need of help.

The organization provides food and medical supplies to the fosters who care for the animals while they are waiting to be adopted. However, the food supply was close to running out in late August.

Humane Ohio put out a plea for help a couple weeks ago, but there wasn't much a response. A second plea went out this week, and the response was a lot different.

All kinds of food, formula and supplies have been delivered to Humane Ohio in recent days. Even with all the help, the need will continue in the months ahead. If you'd like to help, we've posted a link.
