TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Drive-thru coronavirus COVID-19 testing will be available for Lucas County residents.
The tests will be available for residents who call one of two hotline numbers and are approved through a screening process.
The hotline numbers are:
The tests come after the Toledo-Lucas County Health Department announced Sunday that one resident has tested presumptive positive for COVID-19.
According to the Health Department, the patient is a man in his 70s who had recently traveled overseas. He had minimal contact with the public after returning to the area.
Representatives for the Health Department stressed the need for an added level of concern among the community, including frequent hand washing, avoiding non-essential gatherings, and practicing social distancing.
According to the CDC, someone who tests "presumptive positive" means the person tested positive through a local laboratory. The CDC will either confirm or deny the case after further testing is administered.
