TOLEDO (13abc Action News) - UPDATE: Toledo police have located and arrested Deshone Sykes, 21, for the shooting death of Jonathan Cain, 24.

Sykes has been charged with an open warrant of murder.

Toledo Police said Cain was shot early Wednesday afternoon at the Greenbelt Parkway Apartments. He died at an area hospital.

"Responding officers found the victim behind 815 Walnut," Lt. Joe Heffernan of Toledo Police said.

Detectives said Cain was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the courtyard of the apartment complex around 1:30 Wednesday afternoon.

"There were people around," Lt. Heffernan said. "We have a lot of video around the complex so that might help us also."

One local block watch leader says she's saddened and frustrated to hear about another shooting.

"Everyday someone gets shot," Kathleen Johnson, a Toledo Block Watch leader told 13abc. "It's only the first of March."

Now, she's encouraging neighborhoods to do their part and help police.

"Look around and see what's going on. If you see something, call it in," she said.
