Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity seeking volunteers for Rock the Block

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Are you looking for an opportunity to give back? Maumee Valley Habitat for Humanity is looking for YOU!

This weekend is Rock the Block in the Birmingham Neighborhood. This event is a neighborhood revitalization effort where volunteers help complete exterior home maintenance projects at no cost to homeowners.

It takes place this Saturday, September 7 from 9:00 a.m to 2:00 p.m, and volunteers are asked to meet at Calvin UCC (1946 Bakewell Street).

Volunteers are REQUIRED to wear closed toe and closed back shoes. Long sleeves and long pants are encouraged. Wear clothing you don't mind getting dirty in! You're also encouraged to bring landscaping gloves and landscaping tools.
