Mercy Health ask Toledo Police and Fire not to honk

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - It's day five of the strike. Striking Mercy Health care workers continue to make themselves heard, and apparently so did Toledo Police and Fire.

According to emails obtained by 13abc, Mercy Health officials called Toledo's fire and police chiefs to complain about squad vehicles honking in support of those on strike at the hospital, even threatening to file an injunction in court to force the change.

The emails suggested that Toledo Fire and Police would comply with the request.

Mercy Health sent us this short statement saying, "Mercy Health -St. Vincent Medical Center and Children's Hospital is a place for healing."
