The state of Michigan plans to allow large marijuana growers to apply for and be approved for multiple licenses in a single location.

The Bureau of Medical Marijuana Regulation is implementing medical marijuana regulations under a new state law. According to the Associated Press, the agency says the guidance that was issued Thursday is advisory and could change.

The state intends to let potential marijuana growers to apply for what will be known as multiple "stacked" class C grow licenses. The class C license will allow growers to grow up to 1,500 marijuana plants.
