Michigan teen charged with embezzling thousands of dollars from Kroger
A teenager from Michigan is charged with embezzlement after police say she stole thousands of dollars from the Kroger in Dundee, Mich.
According to a news release from Dundee village manager Dave Uhl, Chenoa Nestor, 18, worked at the Kroger on E. Monroe. Police responded to the business on Tuesday.
Village documents show Kroger's management and loss prevention found the 18-year-old had embezzled $6,856.51 while working the cash registers during the last week.
Kroger investigated the incident and called police. An officer talked with the suspect, who reportedly confessed to the crime.
Nestor was booked in the Monroe County Jail on embezzlement charges. She has been arraigned and released on bond.
