Man pulled from water in Put-in-Bay identified as David Kaczor, 36

A spokesman for the U.S. Coast Guard says the body of a missing man was recovered from the water at the Park Place Marina in Put-In-Bay on Friday.

According to a news release from the Put-in-Bay police department, officers were notified of the missing man around 2:45am on June 22. Witnesses told police the man was last seen the night before adjusting his boat lines due to heavy winds near the Jet Express dock.

Put-in-Bay police released the identity of the man as David Kaczor, 36, from Harrison Township, Mich. on Wednesday.

Put-in-Bay police worked with the Ottawa County Sheriff' Dive Team and the U.S. Coast Guard. Divers discovered the Kaczor's body in six feet of water directly below his vessel.

Authorities say they are still awaiting autopsy results.
