TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) Mom's House is set to receive $200,000 from the state of Ohio to grow its program.
The non-profit supports young mothers by helping them achieve higher education all while giving them the tools to be effective parents.
"This is a game changer for moms house we are going to be able to realistically look at some growth . we can now take unrestricted dollars and focus them on what our next step is," executive director Christina Rodriguez said.
Today Mom's House held a news conference to share the exciting news with the community.
"This is truly a place where moms can grow and children can grow and just have a wonderful time and i am so proud of you and the staff here," Ohio State Rep. Paula Hicks-Hudson said.
These new dollars will support the 5-star childcare center, which is available to low income moms who are working to graduate high school, technical school or college.
The grant will also support parent education.
