TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - The pedestrian that died after being hit by a vehicle early Thursday morning was crossing illegally.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol identified the victim as Julio Reyes Gonzales, 22, of Toledo. Police say alcohol seems to have been a factor.

The driver was wearing a seat belt and was not cited.

The accident closed down the road between Nantucket and Flanders for more than two hours. All lanes of travel were restricted. That closure is now clear.
