Night owls in Lenawee County, take note — Consumers Energy will take a scheduled five-minute outage early Friday morning, starting around 3 a.m.

The outage is to allow another energy company to safely isolate and perform work on failing equipment in one of their substations.

Consumers Energy said in a press release that around 2,022 customers will be affected by the interruption, served by the Morenci Substation and Haley Road Substation.
