NASA is preparing for another mission to Mars next year, and the agency is giving people the chance to have their names go along for the ride.
People can fill out a form online with name, country and postal code. Once the information is approved, the name will be etched on a microchip that will head to Mars aboard the InSight lander.
If people want to go a step further, they can also sign up to be a "frequent flier." The program allows participants to receive e-mail updates on future missions and to send names on other Mars launches.
The deadline to submit names is November 1.
InSight is set to launch in May of 2018 and land six months later.
