TOLEDO There is a new sober living house for women open in downtown Toledo. It's the Hope House located in the same place as the old Harbor House. The Zeph Center took it over after fire destroyed the old facility. Zeph fixed up the facility and now it houses up to 8 women. The goal of the house is to foster sober living in women who have successfully completely in and out patient treatment. They are charge rent but supported on a daily basis as they rebuild their lives.
The house is also set up with common living areas that allow the women to visit with their children as they are working to regain custody. There is no time limit to how long they can stay at the house but the average stay is 12 months. This is considered transitional housing for women recovering from substance abuse.
