(WTVG) - A newly upgraded ride at the Ohio State Fair will undergo new inspections ahead of the annual event. The effort is part of new safety measures at the fair following the failure of fair officials to pass on a manufacture warning that chairs on the SkyGlider could fall apart.
The inspections are scheduled for Wednesday. Upgrades to the ride have been going on the last several months and include replacing all 95 chairs.
Ohio Department of Agriculture Director Dorothy Pelanda will attend the inspections.
