The Westbound exit to US-24 off of I-475 is finally complete after a six-month renovation.

The ramp towards Maumee and Napoleon closed back in April.

Despite heavy April showers, construction crews completed the new ramp on schedule, and it reopened on October 18th.

"If this is your everyday route, you probably aren't going to notice a change," explains ODOT Public Information Officer Rebecca Dangelo.

The exit begins sooner than before the construction, allowing traffic more time to slow down and ease into the now smoother curve in the road.

ODOT estimates the small changes to the exit ramp will make a world of difference in safety.

ODOT says there's no telling just yet how much safer the new ramp is, but says more safety studies will be performed in the future.
