Ohio casinos, amusement parks and water parks can re-open June 19

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine said Friday that casinos, racinos, amusement parks and water parks would be able to re-open on June 19.

Those facilities will have the next two weeks to prepare to combine their activities with social distancing requirements.

"In all of these cases, these sectors have come up with plans that reduce the number of people, provide for sanitation, and in some cases, provide for one-way traffic. They are elaborate plans that we believe are consistent with protecting the public," DeWine said.

The Memorial Golf Tournament has also been given the greenlight for its July 13-19 dates.
