COLUMBUS, Ohio (WTVG) - According to a statement from the university, Ohio State defensive end Chase Young has been suspended because of a possible NCAA compliance issue from last season.
The junior will miss Saturday's game against Maryland, and it's unclear whether he will miss more games than that.
He tweeted Friday that he accepted a loan from a family friend last year and is working with the university and NCAA to regain his eligibility.
Young had placed himself in national conversations for the Heisman Trophy after his last game, against Wisconsin. Young tied a school record with four sacks in the game; he currently leads the nation with 13.5 sacks.
