TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Toledo police continue to investigate a fatal accident that shut down I-280 SB near Oregon for more than four hours Monday morning.
According to police, 43-year-old April Bowser of Maumee was stopped in the right lane on the highway when her vehicle was struck by another, forcing it into the center lane. That's where it was subsequently struck by a semi. Bowser was pinned in the vehicle and later pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other drivers were injured and taken to a local hospital.
Police say alcohol was not a factor in the accident but the cause is still under investigation.
