(COLUMBUS)--- Opening statements in the murder trial of Brian Golsby took place on Monday after jury selection was completed.
Golsby is accused of the kidnapping, murder and rape of 21-year-old Reagan Tokes in February of last year. Tokes went missing after working at a Columbus area café. She was a student at Ohio State University. Police say she was abducted before she was shot and killed.
The judge began to give the jury instructions in the case Monday afternoon.
The jury is expected to be taken to see locations of the final hours of the victim's life. Tokes was a graduate of Anthony Wayne High School in 2013. Her funeral was held in Maumee.
Golsby was released from prison in November of 2016 following rape and kidnapping convictions in 2010.
13abc's Lissa Guyton is following the trial and will have a report on 13abc Action News Monday at 6:00pm.
