Person found dead inside of burned out car

One person is dead this morning after being found inside of a burning car.

Early Saturday, the Wood County Sheriff's office received a call of a vehicle engulfed in flames on US 6 just east of Rangeline Road. At the time of the call, it was unclear if anyone was inside.

When firefighters arrived, they put out the fire and later found one person dead inside.

The driver has not been identified. The sheriff's office is not releasing a vehicle description. There was extensive damage to the vehicle .
