UPDATE: Police release report on Tuesday's shooting

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Toledo Police released the names Tuesday of those involved in a Tuesday evening shooting on the East Side.

Anthony Ridley was arrested for burglary at the scene of a shooting Tuesday in East Toledo.

According to a police report, Shamar Thompson was shot twice in the abdomen in the 1100 block of Delence Street and transported to Mercy St. Vincent Hospital. Thompson might be a suspect in a burglary on the same block.

Anthony Ridley, who was next to Thompson when police arrived on the scene, was arrested for burglary and booked into the Lucas County Jail. According to the burglary victim, Ridley and Thompson entered his house without permission.

Ridley told officers he was in a house at the corner of Delence and Plymouth when he heard gunshots and screaming, running outside and finding the victim lying on the ground.

Another resident of Delence St. told police she observed Thompson coming from the west and knocking on her door from cameras positioned outside her home. He walked away from the door and laid on the ground. A minute later, she said Ridley and another potential witness were seen coming from the east.

Thompson's condition is currently unknown.

Toledo police are investigating a shooting on the city’s East Side.

Officers were called to a home on Delence near Plymouth just before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

According to a sergeant at the scene, officers arrived to find a man lying in the grass with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital, though his condition is unknown.

One person has been taken in for questioning.
